Meowycakes Clothing Co. =^,,^=
5 days off in January woohoo
That's all I had.
So now I start a new month with a ...day off!
Don't forget to prep for Chinese New Year 2007 --- read all about it here...
I want these socks. (Thanks to Cristi who has a beautiful new blog layout...)
I just realized it's been 2 years since I first created Meowycakes... I need to celebrate with some kind of contesty, gifty thingy for you my dear readers... Let me simmer that on the stove for a little while and I'll be back tomorrow.
Benny Parsons, NASCAR legend 1941-2007
1973 Winston Cup Champion and awesome announcer passed away yesterday from complications related to his lung cancer treatements.
I heard the news on ESPN while getting dressed for work and it makes me sad because he was so much fun to watch. Prayers to his family, both racing and blood.
Jack Bauer in the house!
Okay so this is a little late, but I am so happy that 24 is back on... tonight is part 2 of the 4-hr season premiere...
I am settling in to knit an ugly ponchette out of the yarn I hate the most but it's an experiment in tolerance - part of my New Years resolution pool and a way to explore me in a different way.
I haven't been online as much because of MY NEW JOB - I'm smack in the middle of a very intense 4-week training session and thank you to everyone who has been email/texting/pm'ing me to make sure I am not dead (yet)
but I do miss all of you, and try to pop in to chat when I can.. I'm usually asleep by 10 pm during the week (John has to get up at ungodly hours as well and I like my sleep LOL) but please keep checking in with me.
Kim, Susann & Sharon ~ your stuff is on its way!!!
I really feel old BTW --- Shalom Harlow is doing grown-up cosmetic ads these days... we used to mimic her Chanel ads back in high school (circa 1987ish) even though I am older than her LOL
And these Revlon ads...
I am so exhausted but I am itching to try my Lisa Souza sock yarn... maybe after I finish my ugly ponchette this weekend...
THE PRETENDER MOVIE TRAILER
20th Century Fox has the 3rd Pretender movie in pre-production. I found the trailer here.
It's been a crazy week or 2 since we last spoke.1) Met Yorkie. ( Yay!)2) Got a an awesome RAK from Zonda (Thank you!)3) Heard this on the news just now. (I used to have clients in this neighborhood - makes me very sad)I have to leave for work in 10 mins so I will be back later.*many hugs*Love, Anne
Happy New Year
A quiet day at Chez Roxy... I'm still in pajamas, eating a grilled cheese and a cinnamon roll and I'm not as hung over as I expected. John is at work (wooo double time) and I need to grab a shower and get a few errands done. I may try to nap in a little while too.
Many thanks to Pam
& Kris for including us in on a fun NYE party last night. Love ya girl!
Apparently there are funny piccies (other than the ones on my camera) but I have yet to see them LOL
Ganked from Jessica as well, because she rocks ;)
Welcome to the 2006 Christmas Edition of Getting to Know Your Friends! You know the drill. Highlight, copy, and paste (not forward) and change my answers to your answers. Be sure to send back to me. Enjoy!! Everyone has time for a few moments of fun! Don't be a scrooge!!!Come on!
In the interest of time, I only did a few... because I have no time LOLNAME: AnneMarie
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. Eggnog is generally gross, except for the new recipe that Pam just introduced me to last night LOL
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? He has the nice ladies at Nordstrom do them for him LOL... If I had more time, more would be wrapped by me...3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I like white lights on the tree and blue outside.4. Do you hang mistletoe? I had some, but it's in my storage unit, along with a zillion other things. 5. When do you put your decorations up? About a week before Christmas, but also Hanukkah menorah-related things when appropriate.6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Mashed potatoes and green bean casserole.....19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey. Last Christmas by George Michael. Sleigh Ride remake by Debbie Gibson. Christmas Wrappings by The Waitresses. (yeah I know that's 4)20. Candy Canes... Yuck or Yum? Yum. Fruit ones only.
More later... I'm falling asleep....
