1973 Winston Cup Champion and awesome announcer passed away yesterday from complications related to his lung cancer treatements.
I heard the news on ESPN while getting dressed for work and it makes me sad because he was so much fun to watch. Prayers to his family, both racing and blood.

Okay so this is a little late, but I am so happy that 24 is back on... tonight is part 2 of the 4-hr season premiere...
I am settling in to knit an ugly ponchette out of the yarn I hate the most but it's an experiment in tolerance - part of my New Years resolution pool and a way to explore me in a different way.
I haven't been online as much because of MY NEW JOB - I'm smack in the middle of a very intense 4-week training session and thank you to everyone who has been email/texting/pm'ing me to make sure I am not dead (yet)
but I do miss all of you, and try to pop in to chat when I can.. I'm usually asleep by 10 pm during the week (John has to get up at ungodly hours as well and I like my sleep LOL) but please keep checking in with me.

I really feel old BTW --- Shalom Harlow is doing grown-up cosmetic ads these days... we used to mimic her Chanel ads back in high school (circa 1987ish) even though I am older than her LOL

I am so exhausted but I am itching to try my Lisa Souza sock yarn... maybe after I finish my ugly ponchette this weekend...

A quiet day at Chez Roxy... I'm still in pajamas, eating a grilled cheese and a cinnamon roll and I'm not as hung over as I expected. John is at work (wooo double time) and I need to grab a shower and get a few errands done. I may try to nap in a little while too.

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. Eggnog is generally gross, except for the new recipe that Pam just introduced me to last night LOL
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? He has the nice ladies at Nordstrom do them for him LOL... If I had more time, more would be wrapped by me...
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I like white lights on the tree and blue outside.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? I had some, but it's in my storage unit, along with a zillion other things.
5. When do you put your decorations up? About a week before Christmas, but also Hanukkah menorah-related things when appropriate.
