Just took another flight (this time with my JP bag) and 2 projects tucked inside on bamboo needles - one circ, one straight set ---- let me tell you, this bag holds a TON with room to spare. Props to the TSA crew @ BWI - those agents were much nicer this time around and one of the MEN asked me about my project on the circs (a very fuzzy poncho with a mock turtleneck). Turns out, he's a knitter (youngest child in a family with 4 sisters and he's the only guy!) and is making a poncho for his wife! Hot damn, I salute you Jason! He and his coworkers were very gracious- but the one weird thing was that I had a fresh flower in a bottle of Evian that I was carrying with me and they had to take it and inspect it for hidden explosives before letting me on the plane. Hmmmmm... So I currently have those 2 same projects (2 sets of needles and 3 balls of yarn), plus my cellphone, 3 Sharpies in diff. colors, 2 pens, my Palm Pilot, a makeup bag, a pill box, a notepad, a handful of Vitamin C drops, an emery board, a tube of Bath & Body Works mango mandarin hand cream, a pack of thank-you cards, a book of stamps, a handful of business cards, 6 band-aids, my wallet, a tin of mints, my inhaler, a checkbook, 2 sets of keys, my opticians' tool pouch with 3 screwdrivers, a ruler, a tube of screws, a packet of stickers, nail clippers, a can of BBW Coconut Lime Verbena room spray ---- all in my Jordana Paige purse right now (and I took everything except the tool pouch) on the plane with me.

Has anyone heard of BlogShares.com?
I just saw that we are being rated in the knittyheads/knitting kitty webrings under this link
but I have no idea what it's all about... any clues?
WTF?
Okay blogger just ate my post from 7:44 pm EST dammit
Easter Weekend...
What a cold icky day... I had a shortened workday b/c I am scheduled for 6 days this week but I felt cold, cranky and tired. I was going to post my new pics of WIPs and the newly finished Egg Cosy but I have to wait for John to vacate the other pc b/c that has all my digital camera software and stuff to upload to here (yeah, i know - why not just install everything on the laptop too...well, 2 things: Celeron processor and hard drive space...*grrrr*) and quite frankly, I am just too cranky to do it right now.
The good news is that West Virginia survived another round in the NCAA tournament and that makes me happy.
Is this terrible? I'm in my 30's, yet I'm thinking of co-opting my mother into crocheting Martha's poncho for me *big puppy dawg eyes* b/c I really want one, but I have too many WIPs and honestly, while I think I'm pretty good @ Easy-to-Intermediate knitting, my mother kicks ass with crocheting so even my most beeyooteeful knitted piece pales in comparison to her everyday crocheting. (Also it would only take her like 2 days to make one and it would take me 7 months LOL) God bless the Asian Doily Queen of Orange County!
Serious, Mom rocks. She's so cute and everyone loves her and her cooking. She bakes an unbelievable banana walnut bread that is totally a religious experience *drool*
I think I will give her a call...
HAVE YOU CALLED YOUR MOTHER/FATHER LATELY?
*rats - phone is busy, which means my little sis is online LOL*
Okay back to my yarn.
I just swapped 2 extra Rebecca magazines for 9 skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease, and extended my stash... Midge from knittyboard.com is so fantastic -hope she enjoys the magazines & patterns as much as I do! She's so sweet - if you have the chance to make contact with her, you won't be disappointed.
I decided to frog the purple Homespun poncho, and start over b/c I didn't like how the finish was coming out. I think I will make this poncho in a ribbon yarn so that it has a distinct stitch character, not just squiggly stockinette... one of the things I've realized is that with Homespun, stockinette and garter look almost the same *sighs*
Be back after dinner.

Back and badder than eva
...well, not really. Just back. I'm JUST now getting my voice back @ half volume. The doc said that if I wasn't able to speak by this weekend, then I would have to go have my vocal cords scraped or something equally gross. It turns out that the remnants of my bronchitis (viral in nature, so no antibiotics would help) affected my voicebox, so that's why no voice for 5 weeks. So that's that. I'm still working my Kyoto back piece but I've lost so much time from being ill that I have a lot of catching up to do *waaaah*I did however make progress on my Split Collar Poncho in purple Homespun (pattern here)--- I'll post pics this weekend. Also, there are patterns for Martha's prison break (ha ha ha) poncho
Okey doke time for bed --- ttyl :)
