  Pimping my other blogsite

Heh heh - I'm shameless!

I am part of the webmaster program for the Official Aeon Flux website and I'm trying to move up in the rankings (as of this post I am #66 out of 381 websites) but I need my Meowycakes fans to click to HarajukuRoxy and specifically click on the Aeon Flux graphic in the left sidebar. Please! Even if you are not a fan, it would take 30 seconds and there are actually some neat imagery-type things to look at. If you are a fan (of Aeon Flux, or Charlize Theron) then it's a bonus!

PRE-EMPTIVE NOTICE: my sites are best viewed with Mozilla/Firefox b/c for some reason IE jacks up my layouts, and I don't have time to edit/futz with the HTML right now. Patience is a virtue LOL

Thank you in advance - *mwah*

Oh BTW --- I was busted by my downstream Knitty Holiday SP, the lovely and gracious AliceC
Am SO glad you are enjoying your pressies! Will hug you in person real soon!

Read about it here

little_hobbit_feet's RAK gift

I am just so blessed, that I want to cry. Thank you to my girls & guy friends who just make me feel so special. I really, truly appreciate it especially when your day/week/month/sanity seems to be falling apart at any given moment...

*sigh happily*

Okay, off to chop some turkey for homemade pot pie for the hubby... then a long hot bath/shower....

Angel says "Pet me."

A link I found for
DIY knitting totes

I received two fabulous packages yesterday, but I'm very tired and my back is sore from my big slip (I went for a big spill yesterday at work and landed HARD on my big front of 3 of my staffers...wasn't seriously hurt, but definitely sore and more embarrassed than anything else) so I'm recopying my posts from KNittyboard - click on the links:

EmergencyBackupSecretPal5's gifty
(this one I received a few weeks ago, but though it appropriate to resurface the thank you since (s)he is filling in for my original SP5 upstream)

Floss' Holiday SP gifty

Trillian42's RAK gifty

Thank you EBSP5, Gill & Pam for wonderful presents!

I love them and will post pics as soon as I sort out my camera woes.

In other knitting-related fun, I've discovered knitted dishcloths that arent square! There's a really simple pattern in the January issue of Creative Knitting (whoops, the website still has Nov 2005 - I am 1 issue ahead since I'm a subscriber LOL) that's called the Holiday Swirl and I've made 3 already this past week (remember - Roxy is a very slow knitter LOL). If you see it, you should try it... it's to where I've memorized the pattern and am probably going to make it in lace and other fiber for doilies... will keep the cotton for the dish/washcloth uses.

Also, Amy Ashley aka hauteknits from the knittyboard has 2 published patterns in the same issue, on page 34 &50. WOohoo!

For those who would like a discount card for Rx drugs I found this link
My Free Rx card

Very cool, no strings attached.

There are two kittens snacking on leftover turkey on my patio right now.

Will scoot back in a bit :)

  aka Loado
This is my sister-in-law, Megan. She's 17, swims & plays softball, basketball and soccer. She's hoping to get into the US Naval Academy (she's very smart), so let's all pray that she gets in and wish her good luck...

Just thought I'd put her cuteness up here for no other reason other than I love her very much & she's a hoot :)

I found my cellphone. But - it does not work properly... all I can do is text and play games. The earpiece volume is messed up so even at max volume, it is like hearing someone whispering through a buzzing noise. I really really really don't feel like shelling out major bucks for a new phone but I'm going to have to.

Be back in a bit- brownies are ready.

This is a pic of Mara (little sis) that appeared in Perfect 10 magazine a few years ago.
(Love her very much - she is so sweet & flaky, like a dessert pastry. LOL - just kidding! She's a good girl.) This is relevant - keep reading :)

I haven't had time to sit down and simply ramble since ---- wow, 11 days ago?

Well let's see what crap and shizzle has gone on since last post...

I have an alternate ego blog -- click here to see
(the button is up there ^^^^)

And - My semi-famous sister. This is her latest commercial.

Let the site load up then click on the PC monitor in the virtual office.

I think I misplaced my phone. I haven't seen it in almost a week, but I don't feel like paying the $175 penalty fee for getting a new one b4 my contract allows (which is at the end of May 06) but I need to have something and John is getting annoyed that I keep asking to use his or that I'm not reachable. I must have like 2 gajillion messages (and I forgot my codes to access my VM from home LOL) and stuff so I hope I find it soon. Battery's gotta be dead by now too.... grrrrrr....

Gwen Stefani was awesome - we had a great time - it was Ruth, myself, Jake & Ruth's friend, Trista - and we sat wayyyyyyyy up in the top tier with a great view. I thought I'd get a crappy view, but I really couldn't complain.

Currently knitting between Enchante & Glampyre's One Skein Wonder

and I'm pleased with my progress. I love to knit - wish I could knit and really get paid for it. :)

Okey doke - gonna go scoot for now -- knitty coffeeshop is still down, and I should probably go to bed. Will honk at y'all later!

  Nov. 2nd already?
My wedding anniversary is coming up in a few weeks. (4 years!)

I'm going to go see Gwen Stefani @ George Mason U in Fairfax this weekend.

Debating whether or not to go to Vegas for a 3-day deal (about $478 per person - airfare & hotel) or stay a week in Myrtle Beach next month (free, just gotta pay for gas and food) if we can arrange the time off.

From my lovely friend, Dan, via today's email. He makes me smile.

WVU is playing UConn tonight - wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

35 to 3 at the end of the first half. *snicker*

Gosh darn, I love WVU football - WOOP!

For random celebrity news: Pink & Carey Hart got married!

I thought this was cool because I like Pink (wish I could have her hair - it's kinda Gwen Stefani-ish) and I think Carey Hart is awesome. (Remember, I'm an ex-skater/surfer chica?) Speaking of Pink, I need some more kidsilk haze. It makes me happy.

There are kittens to be fed on the patio. Will be back later.

Love, Anne
