My birthday was unexpectedly fab
I have such great friends and an awesome husband.
It started out meh/sucky/cranky factor because I ended up doing work-related sh*t both @ home and in-store til 4:30!!!! Missed my hair appointment, and did not buy any new clothes (this is actually a problem - all my pants and jeans don't fit anymore - I can pull them off without undoing them and it's a pain in the ass because my belt isn't doing a good job of keeping them on my hips anymore LOL) and I still had Samsonites under my eyes like you wouldn't believe.
So I get home and flop in the chair, zoning out in front of the tv with Angel on my head. Really. She just draped herself over my head - I was low enough in the chair that the top of my head was level with the top of the chair back, so The Fat One decided that was good enough for her.
John comes home and tells me to get showered and dressed. It was my understanding that we were going out to eat to celebrate, but I honestly didn't feel like it at that moment. So I refused to get up and told him to bite me or something equally elegant.
We fight for about 20 minutes then I begrudgingly get dressed and he puts me in the car.
Needless to say, we arrived at Cheeseburger In Paradise (I decided to give them another chance) and then I noticed a few familiar vehicles in the parking lot... LOL
We ate some really tasty entrees, drank margaritas and beeeeer and my dessert was a yummy treat called Chocolate Nachos (that's a pdf of the menu btw)...wooooo
I got a mess of cool pressies too...
John got me KP Options needles - this is the Starter Set
And I had some fab fab fab MAC makeup from the Nordstrom-only Novel Twist collection
Plus - of course - Hello Kitty items that contain glitter, sparkly stuff, shiny-ness and pink!
(PEZ dispensers, lip gloss, nail polish, jewelry & a sticker pack)
My boss got me a spa giftcard to the foofoo chi-chi salon MorganGerard in Annapolis and my crew baked me cookies, brownies and cupcakes... I also was given a sweet little sleeping cat by one of my cashiers...
MJ sent me the most hilarious musical berfday card too - it has the Hamster Dance theme song playing when you open it... thank you sweetheart!
And now for the winners. In a completely unscientific selction process - the winners from last week's berfday pressie contest are
