hahahaha ever have one of those days?

This was last week, Thanksgiving morning. In West Virginia.

I was feeling craptacular, but cheerful if you can believe that.

So I am no longer a burrito diva, and I have a new camera. I sucked it up and invested a few $ in a Canon PowerShot A550. Still playing with the settings, but I think it will be fine... will post practice piccies.

I went to a wedding on Saturday and seriously, no joke - I was the affirmative action in the whole dang church... 200 rednecky Caucasians and lil ol me... party time!
I almost fell off the pew crying laughing when my family realized with mild shock of the above fact. It's totally fine, but just a little disconcerting at first.

Let's see - what else is happening in the Meowycakes oven?

I taught myself Magic Loop and 2 sockysocks on 1 circ at the same time over the weekend.

John got his promotion! He also got a letter, signed and sealed from one of the regional VP's, congratulating him on his fast advancement. Woot. My little techie geek.

We just (sort of) celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. He brought me roses.

I, however, am a bad wife and didn't get him anything ---- yet. Ssssshhh I have a pressie surprise planned, just have to wait for payday...

I figured out that I have lost about 37 lbs since January. None of my clothes fit. That is the good news...

The bad news is that I figured out that I gained back about 5 over the last week between Thanksgiving and staying at my MIL's because I was a total snack-happy, carb-loading slug for 5 days, and I'm not running around for 14 hrs a day on my feet anymore. *sigh*

• some Apple Cozies *
• a really ugly scarf

I want to knit an Origami Cardigan but I'm still looking for the pattern from IK Summer 2007 - if someone has a copy I can gank, please let me know... I can swap/buy/pimp something in exchange :) (also, just to let you know exactly how much I am losing my mind - I know someone told me recently they had it, I just cannot remember who it was)

* OMG - I have to vent about this... those adorable Apple Cozies (which I love and adore) or aka Apple Jackets? That cost about $2 in time and materials to make?

Why didn't I think of this first?
